Groups is the shared side of TimePeace: a club, a trip, a team or a household gets its own page, built from the pieces you actually need. Tasks, a packing list, an event plan, a poll, a roster, a shared ledger, announcements — everyone sees the same thing, and nobody has to scroll back through a chat.
Pieces you switch on: tasks, a daily checklist, lists, an event plan, a roster of who is doing what, shared notes, a ledger for who paid for what, a poll with a closing day, a trip, and an announcements channel for the organiser. Turn on the three you need and ignore the rest.
There are three roles — owner, leader and member. Everyday things (adding, ticking, claiming a job) are open to everyone; the destructive and structural things (removing people, changing roles, clearing a list) stay with the owner and the leaders. It is the difference between a shared plan and a free-for-all.
You share an invite. The person opening it sees which group they are joining before they accept, joins with their own account, and appears in the members list. No one is added without doing that themselves.
No. A group is a separate, shared space that you choose what to put into. Your diary, your notes and your own plans stay yours — nothing crosses over unless you put it there.
A group in TimePeace exists to get something organised — a trip, a season, a household — and then to stop. There is no timeline to keep up with and nothing to perform.
